Fun for all

Naegelin's

Every morning, we go to Naegelin's for breakfast.  The bear claws are really unique and delicious, and are Taylor's favorite poison.  The kids get sprinkle donuts, boring and predictable.  I get kolaches, because they aren't fried or smothered in sugar.  The kolaches are awesome and come in some interesting flavors, though they still don't quite live up to Weikel's in La Grange.

I found the parking lot photo worthy too.

Ugh! Bad Pics, Cute Uggs

I really wanted to get Ugg's for Anna Belle in the fall.  Scratch that, I wanted to buy her Uggs this time last year and decided I would be more justified if I waited a year.  (For the men and math majors, this is shopper's math, which is too complex to explain via a short blog post.)

We found these on sale, and Anna Belle LOVES them.  She was running and dancing and swinging her shopping bag all over, so the pics are blurry.  My magical camera could handle it, but the iPhone can't keep up with my little shopping buddy.

Heidelberg Day 1

Since watching Breaking Bad, I do kind of want to call this the Highsenberg Lodges.  That aside, here we are in front of our unit, number 39.  It took 4 years of coming to earn the right to rent a lower unit during this week, so having it the last few years has felt like a big deal to us.  I have always been terrible about taking pictures during this vacation week each year.  We've come for all these years, and this is the first time for me to take a picture of the actual lodges.  Much of this is because David and Patricia are joining us for the first time (in the unit right above ours).

We love the river most in the morning, while the water is still and crystal clear.  The kids threw rocks, Taylor supplied their habit and I got to sit in my floaty and read.  I'm one blessed mama.

When we first arrived yesterday, we went out to the pool and billiards area for awhile.  When Grandma and Grandpa arrived, we all got dressed and went to dinner at the Gristmill in Gruene.  One of my new favorite ways to get sincere smiles is to tell the kids to giggle.  Brady giggles and Anna Belle wiggles : )

Little Beakers Plus

Here's a family selfie after church.  This is what happens when Taylor and I try to sit on the love seat together (both of the kids always want to be on the "big couch").

On Monday, I thought Little Beakers camp started at 9:00 AM instead of 10:00 AM.  We took the hour and hung out at a nearby park.  It's the first time I've seen a merry go round in years.  The kids loved it.  Anna Belle's feet struggled to stay on the ground, but she held on tight.

Here's the last day of Little Beakers camp.

Little Beakers

At the end of the school year, Ace's mom and I decided to sign the boys up for Little Beakers camp.  Ace is the one on the left in the blue t-shirt.  They have really enjoyed this week and all the messy and gross projects.
