Funny Curious George

For those of you who don't know me well, I really don't like Curious George.  He disobeys, get into mischief, and no one ever deals with his discipline problem.  It's almost viewed as cute / endearing.  Secondly, watching Curious George inspires Brady to make monkey sounds instead of speaking, which totally annoys me.

With that said, I feel like I need to deal with the talking thing and the discipline thing in our own home. Banning Curious George makes me feel over controlling, so I let it go.  Keep in mind, this video was taken right before bedtime and Brady hadn't had a nap.

Brady had already been laughing like this for 10 - 15 minutes when I took the video.  I love his laugh, but it got him in a little bit of trouble at school this week.  He got into one of these giggle fits at school during the Spanish story telling time.

I debated whether or not to publicize this because of the racially insensitive undertones, but he really doesn't understand that other people speak different languages.  He just thinks they're being silly, like Curious George... we're working on it.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and a good giggle!

Poop Poop Hooray!

Anna Belle's potty training has gone quite well.  Every evening, she runs to Taylor or me and exclaims that she pooped on the potty.  We follow her into the bathroom and she yells, "Ta Da!"  It's become a family tradition, so I tried to catch it on video.

Anna Belle and I were on our way to the mall Friday and she told me she had to go poop.  We had to stop at a gas station.  She was really disappointed because she was eager to go on the baby potties at the mall (the tiny flushable ones at Memorial City Mall).  We continued on to the mall, and we probably took 3 trips to the potty.

When she pooped, she turned around to look and said, "Mommy, it's an alligator."
"An alligator?"
"Yeah," she checked again as it sunk deep into the toilet, "it's hiding.  I'm gonna pee on it."

Oh, my sweet, imaginative Anna Belle.
