Playing with my Canon

I have a pretty nice camera, thanks to my dear husband.  I really enjoy taking pictures, and my cameras and skills have slowly improved over the years.  With that said, I rarely possess the focus to actually learn how to use my camera.  I started following a photo blog, which is inspiring.  I've really wanted to take more every-day sort of shots of our family, doing what we do.  I feel like the vacations and special moments are captured, but I fear I will forget the things that happen every day.

... Anna Belle's SO accustomed to me begging for a smile, that she's a little confused with why I'm quietly clicking away.  I got a lot of funny faces.

The blogger's challenge du jour was to chop off their head.  I have a tendency to always crop my photos the same way, but I need to branch out more.  I love this sweet, super-close-up.

Brady comes home from school every day, totally out of breath and giggling.  For over a month now, the girls chase him home.  In this case, they stole his bag too.  

I asked for a picture, with everyone still out of breath from running.

I didn't bring my laptop to Disney, so we had TONS of photos to work with when we got home.  Rather than doing my normal periodic blog posts, followed by a Shutterfly album, I went straight for the album.  I can't believe I filled a whole book with our trip, but I'll always be glad to have the pictures and stories.

Basketball and Legos

 House divided!  At the last minute, we decided to drive up to College Station to watch the Wildcats (ranked #1 15-0) play the Aggies (unranked).  The Ags totally held their own into double overtime!  It was a great game!  Brady was super excited to see the Ags playing so well, and he really followed the game.

My sweet Anna Belle's fine motor skills repeatedly impress me.

Duck Pond

I really love this cool, rainy weather.  We've been walking to the pond more regularly, so that Brady can play with his new remote controlled boat.  I had a few bags of stale bread, which the ducks happily scarfed down.

Last Christmas Post

What a fun Christmas?!  Grandma and Grandpa gave Brady this speed boat.  It is REALLY fast!  You can see it almost leaping out of the water.  I think we may take it to a community pond today; I'm sure the ducks will love it.

We put away all of our Christmas decorations yesterday.  Before I could throw away the gingerbread houses, I had to take one more picture.  The first one we made at Grandma's house (and the trees at Grammy's house) and the second one the kids made with Brett and Allison.

I'm really too tired to comment, but we had a very lovely Christmas Eve with the Bacot family.

 To anyone who tries to take a picture with my kids, I'm sorry for repeatedly yelling at my kids, "Look at the camera! Look up!  How many fingers?"  Mama's tired of these shots...  Ann looks cute : )
